The Palestine Mint Announces the 2025–2026 Palestine Commemorative Coin Collection Honoring History, Resistance, and Cultural Identity

Virtual Jerusalem (until The Return), June 1, 2025 — The Palestine Mint proudly announces the launch of its historic Palestine Commemorative Coin Collection, a two-phase release of limited-edition coins honoring the enduring heritage, resistance, and cultural identity of the Palestinian people.

This extraordinary collection will launch in two phases:

Phase I: July 1, 2025 — Eight coins

Phase II: September 1, 2025 — Six coins

Each coin is limited to 1,000 pieces, finely crafted with bilingual inscriptions and original artwork to serve as lasting tributes to Palestine’s ancient past and present-day struggle.

The 2025 Collection (Launch: July 1, 2025) includes:

1. The Palestine Man & Anemone – Honoring the 1925 discovery of the Galilee Skull (200,000–500,000 years old) near Safad, alongside Palestine’s national flower.

2.  The Palestine Thinker & Jaffa Oranges – A Bronze Age figurine (1800–1600 BCE) paired with the symbol of Jaffa’s iconic agricultural legacy.

3.  The Ambassador of Pharaonic Egypt – Featuring Pa-di-Iset and ancient Palestinian pottery, celebrating deep-rooted ties between Palestine and Egypt.

4.  Church of the Holy Sepulcher & Date Palm – Highlighting Jerusalem’s revered Christian heritage and the date palm, a tree of paradise.

5.  Al-Qibli Mosque & Qur’anic Verse – Commemorating Umar ibn al-Khattab’s 637 construction of Al-Aqsa, with the verse of Isra’ and Mi‘raj.

6.  Dome of the Rock & Olive Tree – Honoring the Prophet’s ascension site and the blessed olive tree.

7.  We Shall Return – Featuring the Palestinian flag and keys to 1948 homes, symbolizing unwavering commitment to return.

8.  Handala & Map of Palestine – Showcasing Naji al-Ali’s defiant child beside the map in national colors.

The 2026 Collection (Launch: September 1, 2025) includes:

1.  Palestinian Embroidery & Arabic Calligraphy – Celebrating tatreez and the phrase “Palestine is Ours,” symbols of cultural continuity and defiance.

2.  Freedom (1980) by Sliman Mansour & Palestinian Sunbird – A tribute to the resilience of Palestinian prisoners and the national bird of survival.

3.  Yafa & Refugee Family – Commemorating the cleansing of Yafa and Sliman Mansour’s portrait of exiled longing and intergenerational loss.

4.  Mother Palestine & The Nakba – Raed Qatanani and Ismail Shammout’s iconic paintings of maternal land and 1948 catastrophe.

5.  Gaza Before October 2023 & Resistance – Contrasting Gaza’s vibrancy with Maher Naji’s painting of steadfast uprising amid destruction.

6.  Genocide in Gaza & Ethnic Cleansing – Capturing the unspeakable toll of ongoing violence and displacement, through art and memory.

Each coin is accompanied by a unique serial number and collector’s certificate and is housed in protective packaging designed to preserve its historical and artistic integrity.

“Every coin is a testament to the unbroken spirit of a people whose identity cannot be erased,” said the project founder. “This collection is a form of cultural resistance — a way to preserve history and speak to the world.”

This project is a non-commercial, charitable initiative of the Center for Advanced International Studies Inc. (CAIS), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Proceeds from the collection will fund educational, cultural, and humanitarian efforts in support of Palestine. No staff are paid — 100% of donations go to the cause.
